Unfamiliar

Read this verse a short while ago and can't get it off my mind:

Your road led through the sea,
    your pathway through the mighty waters—
    a pathway no one knew was there! (Ps 77:19 NLT)

He lead them by a route that no one even knew existed! He had an option that they would not have even considered no matter how good their planning and analysis skills! I am needing to remember this. God really is able to do above and beyond... so much more than I could ever ask for or think about! Eh! It's kinda hard to imagine how many options He sees.. He who has no barriers or time and space. He who can make pathways in a sea! May Your name be praised!

Lord I believe. Help my unbelief.

Thankful

Yesterday I was at a friend's house and when we were about to leave, we stopped to pray. Her 4year old son started us off. He started listing ALL his toys and thanking God for each one, plus anything in sight like his dad's basketball. The prayer ended up in Christmas references and what sounded like random stories... we cut him off about then :-) But honestly, it stayed with me.
"Count your blessings..."

Today I took a walk with another friend around our hood aka suburb. Sitting down now, I realise the blessing of just living in this particular area. I am thankful that our church is walking distance from our home. So is the supermarket and a cheapish grocery store and a butcher (who even sells liver!!!!)... and an Indian shop that sells millet flour. All these are within walking distance from our home. I haven't yet even mentioned the second hand shops around!! Thank you Lord for looking out for us in such little ways. Thank You. I don't thank You enough. Thank you.
