My wonderful husband(my new name for him) had taken the pleasure of sorting out all the honeymoon details! God bless Him! He is really meticulous and good with details! We were set to travel on 1st July 2012 which may seem like a month after the wedding- but it was in fact, the very next day!
We didn't know that waking up would be that hard!!!! Eh! All I can say is..it was hard. Somehow, we almost missed our flight! I think it had something to do with Kitende(the school along Entebbe road)-they had a function of sorts and one of our people missed their flight out of Ug! Big hug! Anyway.. we made it just by a few minutes. Got to the plane and because we were late to check in, our seats were like in different countries! I almost died! The husband told me to wait till after take off and he'll sort it out. Thanks be to God for our wonderful cousin on the flight who came to the rescue! She was seated sitted next to an empty seat.
During the journey, God was just so gracious that the check in people just kept not charging us for excess luggage. We had to get visas at one point and had quite a wait and yet our next connecting flight was in less that 1hour. We ran like crazy across the airport from one terminal to another. We could not afford to miss that flight. I got a stitch.. running has never really been my thing. Kiki had all the heavy luggage but I couldn't keep up! It was too much! We got to the Departures terminal for check in and found that our flight had been delayed by one hour. We just smiled, thanked God and took time to breathe!
Hmmm.. honeymoon.. All I can say is that we enjoyed! So sorry, we had no time to take photos. I think as a couple, its important to know what works for you. Some people like shopping, adventure type activities, staying in.. I had a wonderful time- couldn't get over the fact that it was legal for us to wake up and have nothing else to do the whole day except being with each other for a week! Totally overwhelming and awesome!
I was sad that it ended and life can't be all about honeymoon. We got on another two planes and finally made it to BULAAYA.
